Hi, I’m Rosa Guevara, and I want to share a true story of faith, hope, and community.
At GreenSchool in Quito, Ecuador, we believe in a different kind of education. Here, children learn through permaculture, a deep love for the Earth, and Christian values. We plant, we nurture, we share, and we grow together, surrounded by purpose and nature.
But on October 27th, the force of nature changed our daily lives.
A devastating landslide, caused by strong and continuous rains, led to the destruction of the retaining wall that protected the area where the children played and carried out their daily activities.
That wall wasn’t just concrete; it supported the safety and joy of our little ones.
Today, the space is exposed and unusable. Without that wall, we cannot continue our outdoor educational activities, and the children have lost the place they cherish the most.
Our Goal: Rebuilding the Wall, Restoring Hope
We urgently need to rebuild the wall that protects the Eco-Village to restore the natural and safe learning environment for our children.
With your support, we will be able to:
- Purchase safe and ecological materials for the construction.
- Hire local labor, generating employment within the community.
- Recover the educational area where children learn through play.
- Keep alive an education based on Christian values, nature, and solidarity.
Every Contribution Counts
Your donation, big or small, is a seed of hope. Every dollar brings us closer to rebuilding not just a wall, but a space of life, love, and essential learning.
And if you cannot donate, simply sharing this campaign also helps tremendously!
Thank you for believing in these children, in our unique education, and in the strength of community.
With your support, we will raise this wall again—and with it—the laughter, the dreams, and the life that flourishes at Jesss’s Eco-Village.
Together, we are rebuilding more than a wall: we are rebuilding a future.
